Job Description: General Manager - Ready Mix Concrete Company

Location: Cranbrook, BC

RELOCATION AVAILABLE

Hays are working with an employee-owned ready-mix company in Cranbrook, BC, specializing in concrete, aggregate, and rock crushing for residential, industrial, and related projects. They are seeking a motivated individual to join there team as the General Manager. This leadership role will be based out of our Cranbrook office and will report to the Director of British Columbia Infrastructure Services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership, planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control to achieve growth and profit objectives.
• Assess local market opportunities for operational expansion.
• Develop and implement operational priorities and strategic goals.
• Prepare financial budgets and monitor business performance.
• Manage contract administration, including claims, bonding, insurance, and liability.
• Lead change and adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee all aspects of concrete and aggregate production, sales, business development, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Past experience in a leadership role (preferably within civil, ready-mix, or commercial space)
• Experience in concrete and aggregate production is an asset.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and practices.
